The first day of the International Grand Prix Vila Blanes is finished with 7 excelent races

The two leaders on each class, Europe, 420 y 29er, are tied in the scoring

Blanes, January, 2nd, 2015.- Excelent first racing day for the International Grand Prix Vila de Blanes 2015. This is the first Regatta of the year for the youth sailors at an international level. With a very good sunny day and a thermal wind from 225º, 10 knots, we have enjoyed three races in 29r Class and two in Europe and 420

Races started at 14:00 hours with starting procedures every 15minutes. The day started with entries registration, skipper's meeting and weather forecast in Blanes.

Two leaders in 29er after three races

The 29er fleet was the first fleet to start Racing in its own course are. We have seen a very competitive fight between the swedish A.Salamon/F. Bergman and the Munté brothers of CN Cambrils. Both crews are tied to 6 points. The Swedish team T. Kraft/S.Alm is in third place with 9 points followed by the Finnish brothers Sandman, with 18 points and the Spanish Flavia Robles/Alexandre Buquet from CN el Balis with 20 points.

Aleix Subirà is also tied with Laura Oliva in Europe Class

The local sailor from CV Blanes, Aleix Subirá, is leading the scoring of the Europe Class with Laura Oliva from CM Torredembarra, both with 3 points. Joaquim Domenech, from RCR Alicante is in third position with 6 points. Aleix Subirà, owner of several prices of the International Grand Prix Vila de Blanes, wanted to be present this year after some seasons.

In 420 Class the Polish and German girls are leading

The Polish team with Julia Szmit and Hanna Dzik, are leading tied with the German team of the Loeffer sisters, both teams with 3 points. Third place for the CN El Masnou team Paola Igual and Aleix Calvet, followed by the German team Konstantine Steidle and TomLembeke and the Polish Agni Urbas and Agata Wisniewska.

The International Grand Prix Vila Blanes 2015 will continue tomorrow, wich is going to be one of the big events of the Europe, 29er and 420 Classes european circuit.
